A Massive Injection of New Content
Valve has dropped a surprise major update for Counter-Strike 2, introducing massive changes to both competitive gameplay and the in-game economy. Officially kicking off Premier Season Five, this update brings the highly-anticipated Spy Tech and Arabesque weapon collections to the Armory, alongside gameplay revamps, sticker capsules, and map pool shifts.
For collectors, traders, and competitive players alike, this update completely reshapes the landscape for the second half of 2026. Let's dive deep into everything new and what it means for your inventory.
Two Brand-New Armory Collections
Following Valve's December 2025 community "Call to Arms," workshop creators have been eagerly waiting to see which of their designs would make the cut under the new flat-fee payment model. Today, we have our answer with two stunning, thematic weapon collections.
1. The Spy Tech Collection
Leaning heavily into sleek, modern, and futuristic designs, the Spy Tech Collection features weapon finishes defined by clean lines, neon accents, and high-tech digital detailing. This collection is perfect for players who love minimalist, sci-fi, and highly technical loadouts.

2. The Arabesque Collection
Representing a gorgeous departure from standard CS2 aesthetics, the Arabesque Collection draws deep inspiration from Middle Eastern geometric art and Arabian mythology. Expect intricate patterns, calligraphic flourishes, and luxurious finishes (reminiscent of the legendary AK-47 | Gold Arabesque).

Sticker Collections: Fruits & Vegetables + Auto Racing
In addition to the weapon finishes, the Armory has been updated with two brand-new sticker collections, giving craft enthusiasts endless new options for customizing their builds:
- Fruits & Vegetables Sticker Collection: Playful, quirky, and colorful stickers featuring cartoonish produce, perfect for adding a bit of humor to your weapon crafts.
- Auto Racing Sticker Collection: High-octane, sleek racing numbers, sponsor logos, and speed-themed graphics to give your loadout a fast, professional esports look.
Active Duty Map Pool Shift: Cache is Back!
In a historic move, Valve has officially returned Cache to the Active Duty Map Pool!
First created by Volcano in 2011, Cache was a staple of competitive play for years before being removed in 2019. Now redesigned and optimized for the Source 2 engine with stunning lighting and improved visibility, Cache is ready for premier matchmaking.
To make room for Cache's return, Overpass has been removed from the Active Duty pool and will no longer be played in official Major tournaments.
Gameplay Overhaul: Bomb Blast Redesign
The most significant gameplay adjustment in this update is a complete rework of how bomb damage is calculated.
Previously, when the C4 exploded, damage was applied instantly to any player within the blast radius. Under the new system, bomb explosion damage now expands rapidly outwards from the C4 location rather than instant application. This gives players at the outer edges of the blast zone a split second to run, slide, or find cover, introducing new tactical save decisions in late-round situations.
